Privacy policy

Who we are
Stakr, of Collingwood Buildings, 38 Collingwood Street, Newcastle NE1 1JF, is the controller of the personal information described in this policy. You can contact us about anything in it at quotes@stakr.co.uk.
What we collect
Details you give us. Your name, email, phone number, postcode and address; what you tell us about your project; measurements, photos and plans you send; and the designs and quotes you create in Build your STAKR.
If you book STAKR Pro or STAKR Max. Laser measurements of your kitchen (Pro) or a 3D LiDAR scan of your home (Max), and the designs we produce from them.
If you become a client. Your delivery address, records of the payments you make to us, and, if you take STAKR finance, proof of identity, address and home ownership.
Where you came from. If you arrive from an advert or another website, we read the campaign tags and click IDs in the link and the name of the website that sent you. We carry these through the links on our site as you browse, without saving anything on your device, and include them only if you submit one of our forms.
If you accept on our cookie banner, we also keep this in your browser for up to 90 days, so we can see if a later visit came from a different advert. If you click Reject, nothing is saved. Either way it stays with us and is never shared with advertisers. You can change your choice at any time using Cookie settings at the bottom of every page, and we keep a note of your choice in your browser.
Technical information. Our website host and font provider receive basic technical information, such as your IP address and browser, to show you the site.
Advertising, if you agree. If you allow advertising on our cookie banner, we use Google Ads and Meta (Facebook and Instagram) tags. They set cookies so Google and Meta can tell us which of our adverts lead to enquiries, and help show our adverts to people likely to be interested. These tags don’t load unless you agree. Google and Meta handle this information under their own privacy policies.
How we use it
To price, design, make and deliver your project, and to talk to you about it. We do this to take steps you ask for before a contract and to perform our contract with you.
To send you the guides and information you ask for, and to reply to your questions. This is in our legitimate interest in answering enquiries.
To send you design ideas and offers by email, only if you tick the box to say yes. You can unsubscribe at any time using the link in every email.
To understand which adverts and websites bring us enquiries, so we spend our marketing budget well. Noting where your enquiry came from is in our legitimate interest. Saving it in your browser between visits happens only if you accept on our cookie banner.
To run your finance agreement and keep our accounts, as our contract with you and the law require.
Who we share it with
We use trusted service providers to run our business: Webflow (website and forms), Supabase (secure database), Resend (email delivery), Pipedrive (customer records), Cal.com (booking calls and visits) and Google (web fonts). They act on our instructions and may only use your information to provide their service to us.
When you use our buying service, we share your specification with the suppliers you choose so they can quote and deliver. You buy directly from them, and they handle your information under their own privacy policies.
Some of these providers store information outside the UK, mainly in the United States. Where they do, the transfer is protected by UK adequacy regulations or the UK's approved data transfer contracts.
We never sell your personal information.
How long we keep it
Enquiries and quotes that don't go ahead: up to two years from the last time we were in touch.
Client project records: six years after your project is complete, for tax and accounting.
Finance documents (proof of identity and address): five years from the final payment under your agreement.
Your STAKR Max scan and designs: for as long as you have a project with us, so you can add rooms later from the same measurements. Ask us and we'll delete them.
If you unsubscribe, we keep your email address on a suppression list so we never email you marketing again.
Your rights
You can ask to see the information we hold about you, have it corrected or deleted, restrict or object to how we use it, or receive a copy to take elsewhere. Where you gave consent, you can withdraw it at any time. Email quotes@stakr.co.uk and we'll reply within one month.
If you're unhappy with how we've handled your information, you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk. We'd appreciate the chance to put it right first.
Changes to this policy
If we change how we use your information, we'll update this page and the date at the top.
